Data Analytics (MSc)

The Master's degree in Data Analytics at the University of Hildesheim is designed to provide students with advanced skills in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets. Over the course of 4 semesters, the program covers essential topics such as data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. Students will engage with both theoretical foundations and practical applications, allowing them to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data science landscape.

This program follows the structure common to German master's degrees, consisting of modules that contribute to a total of 120 ECTS credits. Students will complete a series of mandatory and elective modules, culminating in a thesis project that demonstrates their ability to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. Additionally, for those studying at a university of applied sciences, a practical or internship semester provides hands-on experience in a professional setting.

Graduates of the Data Analytics program will acquire critical competencies such as data interpretation, analytical thinking, and technical skills in various programming languages and tools used for data analysis. Individuals who thrive in this program typically have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science, and are keen to work at the intersection of technology and decision-making.
